Our Story

Student's Recruitment & Admission Unit

The Recruitment and Admission Unit is responsible for planning new student intake and admission. In addition, we coordinate and update the projection and intake requirements for the University’s Undergraduate Study Programmes. We are also responsible for coordinating information for New Student University Fees (local).
Other than these, our duties also include:
- Preparing New Student Admission Guidelines and new student offer letters;
- Assisting in supervising current students’ registration matters,
- Coordinating the preparation of Current Student University Fees (local) Information
- Managing current student status/information updates on the Undergraduate Student Information Management System (SPP)
- Supervising current student management matters (deferment of study, withdrawal of study, exchange of programme/faculty/university, suspension of study, termination of study),
- Updating the UNIMAS Undergraduate Studies Academic Rules (Student Status
- Preparing Student Registration Report every semester for JPPA and Senate
- Assisting promotional matters relating to undergraduate studies

Assessment Unit

This unit plays a vital role in UNIMAS teaching and learning process. One of its core roles is planning and coordinating courses offered at university level to ensure that the courses comply to the Study Plan that has been planned in a particular semester. The planning and coordination are performed alongside faculties as the programme/course owners.

The Assessment Unit coordinates lecture and examination timetables at the university level for undergraduate study programmes. Undergraduate student evaluation results are also under the jurisdiction of the Evaluation Unit.
Other than that, this unit also oversees the study appeal process for undergraduate students who have been failed or terminated from their studies. This unit is also the Secretariat for the Planning and Academic Development Committee Meeting.

Senate & Graduation Unit

The Senate and Graduation Unit monitors graduating students, students who are eligible for fee per credit, and generates the name list of graduating students. This unit also collects documents related to the Convocation Action Committee and Convocation Main Committee secretarial matters.

The Senate and Graduation Unit also assists the preparation of Certificate and Transcript, Convocation Declaration letter, First Class Degree letter, Graduand Verification letter, and Certificate and Transcript reprints. This unit also assists in checking and verifying Certificates, Transcripts, and Alumni information. Generally, this unit is also involved in counter operation for both visitors and students.
